I have a Skoda Fabia HTP 1 2010, and the rear wiper activates (1 or 2 swipes ) on ignition, then it stops. Really bizarre. The battery is in good health and it’s never been flattened. Car is in mint condition otherwise. Have you ever encountered this problem?

@ the savage garage. Hi guys. I just replaced the fuel filter to my skoda yeti 1.2 litre 2011. Was same as this fabia. Now the car dosent start because maybe it has air on the fuel system. Can it be solved with the starter spray?

Thanks for encouraging me to do this service, plus spark plugs, on a newly acquired Roomster 1.2 tsi. I hated changing the fuel filter, struggled like hell pulling off the hoses, got petrol in my face. Bad design VW. Cabin filter- I actually put my hand in to find which way the vent blows. Spark plugs - got myself a £40 torque wrench. For pulling off the cables and for pushing them back in, I’m going to get a tool, as when using just ordinary pliers was very clumsy, potentially damaging. Oil change - got 10 litres 5w-40 from Halfords, used 5l to flush. Like the oil filter access. Will definitely consider servicing myself, deep mistrust of local garages. Cheers.

3:07 - the breather hose. There is a good info about it on Briskoda. When I pulled the air filter housing, the said hose popped and I noticed that it’s been superglued on the engine head. There is supposed to be a grommet and the one way valve slides in. How did you reattach yours? Apparently people don’t notice and a petrol smell results.

Been to the garage said the head gasket has gone on my astra , sounds perfect , runs perfect . Only warning light is the oil pressure. Checked the cap and yes bit of milky white round the cap. Quoted £1000 is this about right??

This is great thank you! I have a Citigo and the bolts that hold the latch in are slightly different. They have 12 slots instead of 6. While hunting around for the correct size screwdriver to get, I have come across the term "Triple Square". Just wondering if anyone knew what size these would be. I have checked the user manual, and scoured the internet

Excellent video - thank you so much!! Just done my 2005 Corsa, now need to wait for some rain to check that it's worked. I only had to undo two nuts to release the brake servo, also the thread has gone on my battery clamp so that was a nightmare to remove!

It's okay, slow on the response, the power output is low, and it could use more rca outputs for rear and subs, but all in all it's okay for what it cost.

The lock is for manual ratchet mode so you don't squeeze the switch on.

Craftsman ratchets were what my grandad used and my dad but I was always a snap on guy or just about anything else that was of good quality. When my dad used them they were American made and my grandad had the good stuff from the 50s now craftsman is mostly made in Taiwan and they don’t make that ratchet anymore but the newer ones are okay at this point it’s just a common brand and not bad but not special either.

Good video mate , Having watched all of it I think you or anyone else out there could possibly pull the bearing pack off by popping out the remaining visible seal on the left bearing , if you have a careful go at them with a very small screwdriver they will just pop out , there,s not much holding these in , having done that get hold of a suitably sized internal race puller off ebay or amazon , these have 2 legs on them that have shaped bulbs on the ends , you carefully insert each leg into the gap between the inner race & the outer ring of the bearing then turn the leg 90 degrees so that it then grips the groove for the ball bearings . Assemble the rest of the puller up above the legs & pull each bearing off a little , do this very evenly or you could easily bend things , a tip here , if you use just one puller only pull the bearing you,re working on a few thou , or you could start to bend things - terminally , either the puller or the shaft the bearing is on that you,re working on.Obviously to get the puller,s legs in you have to destroy 2 bits of the ball bearing cage in the undamaged bearing in diametrically opposite places , but you will end up changing the whole pack anyway so this does not matter . it would be very useful to know in advance the distance across the bearing,s ball tracks please , so that we out here can arm ourselves with the right sized pullers . For those that have never pulled any bearings off before , you use a stout , undamaged & well machined piece of flat steel bar across the top of the shafts to screw your puller central forcing screw down onto , with plenty of the same sort of oil that the gearbox uses on it to lube it , but still keep everything clean , no muck , grit , bits or dust must get in there .Ensure that you,re not pressing straight on the end of a fine internal caged bearing in the end of the shaft ! O.K. that,s my 2 penn,orth mate , it will be good to know the size of these bearings, please reply on here , thanks .
